Magical Litija and the Sitarjevec mine
As part of the December events in Litija, which we named Magic Litija, there is also a wide area of events in and before the Sitarjevec mine. Events are well attended and attract more and more visitors every year. They are inviting the visitors with differentness and uniqueness, and some with nostalgia and a pleasant atmosphere.
Torchlight procession
The traditional hike on the name day of St. Barbara, December the 4th. When thousands of lights are lit in Litija dwarfs and Litko greet the hikers. They start the procession from the old town and continue to the mine with lit torches.

Tomaš was a wonderful guide, we had a lot of fun! They provide a full equipement, so no need to worry about geting dirty during the visit. Place is interesting and rich of historical stories.
The mine is a proper thing for exploring the mining industry of a century ago. The place is safe, visitors get desinfected helmets

Very nice old museum mine. There is quite some history. You need a guide to enter the museum. It is very nice with huge potential for further development. There is a lot of parking available and small picnic tables. Nice for families as well.
